Kayaking at Watson Mill Bridge

Today was pretty but cool. We decided to go kayaking at Watson Mill Bridge State Park.

Gabe and Clay went first. They went around a few bends and then came back to let me and Pierce have a chance to go.

Pierce and I went a ways down the river too and enjoyed kayaking.

I went close to the bridge but not too close cause it drops off a ways under the bridge.

My boys were waiting to help me get out of the kayak but had to bust a move.

The boys got a hold of my camera as Clay and I got the kayaks packed up. Man, a face only a mama could love!

Don't want to know what Gabe was doing....

All-Stars

Gabe made All-Stars this year. It was the first time he was eligible to make it. He had three weeks of hard practice. Gabe learned a lot from the coaches, Coach Goodwin and Coach Rylee. They had the game on Friday, February 26th, at 7:15 at Jefferson Rec Dept.

We got there early and watched the game between Lumpkin County and Jefferson. Jefferson won. Then it was our chance to warm up. We sure looked good.

I couldn't get a decent shot the rest of the night. Every picture I took was an action shot and I didn't know how to change it to take action pictures. Well, we didn't win. But it was good end to a great season!

Allie's Visit Part 4

Allie and mom will be leaving this weekend. I had so much to do this week between doctor's appointments, Gabe's basketball practice, and teaching Wednesday night at church, I thought Allie and mom could come with us some. So, I invited them to church and the youth activities. Allie was able to be in my group.

We had learned about serving others like the boy who shared his loaves of bread and fish with Jesus. Jesus then prayed over the food and shared it with 100 people. Allie was making cookies to share with others.

Aunt Heather was going to take a bit of the cookies.

Here are Allie's new friends. Dani, Carson, Lane, and Mrs. Harmony.

We listened to Veggie Tale music that Lane brought with him. Halleu, halleu, halleu, halleujah...praise ye the lord.

We were putting our whole selves in and shaking all about.

Now a little calmer songs as we waited for our mom's and dad's to pick us up.
Rocka my soul in the boosom of Abraham.

Allie's Visit Part 3

Sunday was beautiful too so Pam and I took the kids to Victoria Bryant State Park.
Allie, Gabe, and Pierce playing on the rock wall.

The see-saw thingy was a big hit. Up and down and up and down.

They loved this one too. It was like a see-saw too. Gabe and Pierce were about the same weight as Allie and Pam. No more candy for them!

Aunt Heather, Allie, and Pam liked the swing the best. I think I got a little sunburned. It was an incredible weekend. Spring fever is hitting us hard. But Monday we are supposed to be back to really cold temperatures again.

Allie's Visit to Georgia Part 2

Saturday we had a fun afternoon outside. Gotta love February in Georgia.

First we played ball outside.

Pierce is taking Camden's place irritating Allie. He is trying to keep the ball away from her. The little stinker!

Mom, Aunt Pam, Uncle Clay, and Aunt Heather sat on the deck and watched.

Then we went for a ride on the four wheeler.

We took Allie to go see the goats. Uncle Clay had to catch one of the babies so Allie could pet it.

Allie wanted to catch one of the bigger goats. They all chased them around. Poor goats!

Then we got to play with Gabe and Pierce's other cousin, Jordan. We jumped on the trampoline until Aunt Heather decided her heart couldn't take it anymore.

We got back to the house and played some more outside.

Nana and Allie hanging out on the deck.

Allie loved Konrad and worried if he went off around the house. She got kisses from him several times. He is a good dog.

Allie's Visit to Georgia

My mom and niece are visiting us for the next 2 weeks. Allie has only been here a day and a half and we have had a lot of fun. Gabe, Pierce, and Allie are playing with the castle.
Here we are having a beauty makeover. Gabe and Allie are fixing Aunt Heather's hair.

Pierce and Allie are drying Aunt Heather's hair.

No one is immune! Poor Uncle Clay. I'm sure we will have lots more fun!

Pierce decided on a Magic Birthday party. He invited lots of friends and family. We were worried cause the weatherman called for snow and ice. We lucked out and were able to have it at church in the fellowship hall.

Singing happy birthday.

Mo helping Pierce open up his presents. Man, he got a lot!

Everyone got ready for the main event. Papa was able to get one of his favorite magicians, Kyle Jarrard, to come to the party and perform some amazing tricks.

Here is the magician Kyleperforming a trick for Blake, Caden, Seth, Buck, Austin, and Pierce.

Basketball Is My Favorite Sport

Gabe and Pierce played basketball again this year. Gabe has played for 5 years and Pierce has played 3 years. They love to play basketball. Clay was the head coach for both Gabe and Pierce's teams this year.

Pierce was on the Bucks team. He was able to play up a league and did great.

This is Walker but I thought it was a good picture of the coach and Pierce.

Coach Clay discussing stratigies with the players. The assistant coach was Coach Ivan.

Gabe's team was the Cougars. You can see assistant Coach Trina in the background.

They had some awesome defense before the season was over. Coach Clay and Coach Trina working together on a plan of action.

Here are the Cougars.

And Pierce!
Stayed tuned...Gabe made All-Stars!
