Finding Baby Squirrels

Clay has been working on a trail through our woods.
The boys have been following him and playing in the woods.
They heard a noise and found some baby squirrels on the ground and came running to me.
Pierce and Gabe

They were so tiny and cold.

We figured that they must have fallen from their nest.

Pierce wanted to keep them or see if Kaye would want to take care of them.
But I told him, we needed to leave them for their mama to find.
We left them hidden in the woods under leaves.

A Day with Friends

We went to the Brock's house to spend times with our friends.
Ben and Amy came back to Georgia for thier high school reunion.
They wanted for the old gang to get together.

The kids played football outside forever.

Fall Break

Fall break and mountain bound!  Kaye and I took the kids to the mountains for a day of hiking and letterboxing.  We headed to Tiger, Georgia first to see the Goats on the Roof.  But afterwards, we headed to Highlands, NC.
Looking out over the North Georgia valley on the way to North Carolina.

We're too sexy for this mountain!

Hanging out in the rhododendrons.

The weather was gorgeous on the mountain top.

Finally, a picture of the mom's.

Too cool.

There was an interesting story about a daring rescue
that took place here...

and down here.

Love this picture!

Jodie and Pierce waiting for us to stamp into the letterbox.
And the sun goes down on a wonderful mountain day!
Love this picture too!

A Day at the Zoo

Nana and Papa came to visit.  The boys and I decided to take them to the zoo.

We saw the komodo dragon.  He went to the bathroom right in front of us.
Gross but cool!

Georgia/Ole Miss

We went to the Ole Miss game this weekend thanks to the Skeens.  They gave us the tickets.  Great seats, 3 rows from the field.  We left Friday and stayed in Birmingham.  Left out early in the morning for Oxford.  Ole Miss is beautiful!  We loved The Grove.  We walked around The Grove, listened to the band play Dixie, and bought Ole Miss Rebel t-shirts.
A view of The Grove.

Pierce and Gabe with Col. Reb.

Walking through The Grove.

This is where the Ole Miss players walk to the stadium.

The boys with Col. Reb.

Each tent in The Grove is impressive.
Big spread and very decorated.
Loved the banner.

Heading to the stadium.

Watching the Dawgs head back to the locker before the game.

Go Dawgs!

Love the Rebels in the back.

The captains.

The team coming out on the field.

Hairy Dog

We told the boys they could go to Ole Miss, IF they get a scholarship!
We can't afford out of state tuition.
