Memorial Weekend with Tremaine

We went to Tremaine's for Memorial weekend. He lives in Augusta. Augusta is a beautiful town.

First we went to the Farmer's Market. It was close to the Savannah River.

Then a nice walk on the river.

And stop to see some sights.

We spent time at Tremaine's house with a little football.

And tennis.

We went on the canal riding trail all the way to the end.

Here we are at the beginning of the canal where it splits from the Savannah River. That is the Savannah River in the background.

Now we see the beginning of the canal.

Here is the bridge and I think it held all the makings for the dam and locks.

On our way back, we saw a turtle and helped it across the path. A little farther and we met up with a mother snapping turtle laying eggs. Pierce just had to get closer so he could take a look.

And of course, Gabe too.

We also went to Penndleton King Park for disc golf, letterboxing, and tennis.
Check all of us out as we play for the first time. Tremaine gave lots of pointers.

Cool action shot.

Looking good mama.

Clay's not too shabby either. We had an awesome time with Tremaine and can't wait to go visit again, next time with our kayaks.
